Sprout

Sprout is a self-initiated branding project centered around Sprout, an original chibi-style calf character. I developed Sprout as the mascot for a fictional organic seed company, creating a visual identity that connects the character’s playful personality with the natural, welcoming feeling of gardening.

I imagined Sprout as the mascot for a small organic seed company and developed the branding around the idea of making gardening feel fun, welcoming, and accessible. From the logo and typography to the seed packet designs and product mockups, I focused on creating a visual identity that felt cohesive while still giving each product its own personality.

This project gave me an opportunity to combine character design, branding, packaging, and graphic design (all of my favorite things) while thinking about how an illustration can function as part of a larger visual identity rather than existing on its own.

This project is part of a bigger collective, which consists of other chibi animal mascots I’ve drawn with their own personalities. I’ve decided to name this collection Animal STARS Series because their names, when put together, spell STAR. Cute right?
